Sodium Hydroxide(NaOH) and Magnesium Oxide (MgO) Loading
● Sulfur Oxide (SOx), contained in the exhaust gas of a vessel engine, is lowering the contamination level below the relevant environmental value by using Sodium Hydroxide and Magnesium Oxide (MgO) as catalyst.
● SOx is reduced when applying Sodium Hydroxide and Magnesium Oxide to the scrubber mounted on the exhaust system of a vessel.
The International Maritime Organization(IMO) has significantly enhanced the environmental regulations on Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) and Sulfuric Oxides (SOx) emitting from vessels since January 2016.
